Privacy Act
We are aware that, if we disappoint you, we will lose the chance of your buying our products ever again. Nothing is more important for us.
Because of this, we have established some hard and fast rules to fully protect you:
1. We do not sell or share our customers’ personal details with any third party. Under no circumstances, for no price.
2. We protect our customers’ personal details with the best technology. The most important databases are physically isolated from any external influence.
3. We use our customers’ personal details solely to handle their orders and offer the best possible service. Nothing but this.
Details of our privacy policies are given below. For more information, please contact us.
Collection of personal details
There are three ways for DesignVintage.com to collect our customers’ personal details:
- Sign-in form and other forms (such as questionnaires, feedback and comments on products, etc) that our customers expressly fill in, of their own free will. Such details may sometimes be needed to handle the orders, others are optional and can help us offer you a tailor-made service.
- The online service logs, which record all your movements through the DesignVintage.com website automatically and transparently for you. Such details are collected for security reasons and to enable us to provide advice and specific suggestions tailored to your personal preferences.
- Feedback from emails and direct notices that we regularly send to our users.
Cookies
DesignVintage.com uses a non-expiring cookie to recognise our customers as they enter the website, so we can propose them a made-to-measure selection of items.
You can delete the DesignVintage.com cookie through the normal procedures offered by the latest browsers. However, you might choose not to delete the cookie, as this may help us offer you a better service.
In addition to such cookie, DesignVintage.com may sometimes use other, temporary cookies for a better management of the user session (e.g. payment process).
If you disable the cookies in your browser, some functions may be affected, including the technical possibility to accept your order.
Use of personal details
The personal details we collect are mainly used for two purposes: to handle your purchase order and to propose products and services that are more specifically tailored to your requirements, preferences or expectations.
Our tailor-made proposals are generated by statistic and mathematical calculations, which become increasingly sophisticated and accurate.
In addition, the messages we send to our customers may contain proposals that are developed by our staff, who work to prepare offers and handle the catalogue.
Overall, the more information we have, the better our service standards. Since this will not infringe on your privacy and involves no risks for you, regularly visiting DesignVintage.com and receiving our emails is a free, automatic way to help you with your shopping.
Sharing of personal details with third parties
DesignVintage.com does not share its customers’ personal details with any third party, under any circumstance. In other words, no one, except DesignVintage.com, may know its customers’ personal details, behaviour, preferences or other information.
DesignVintage.com may sometimes send analyses or aggregate data to third parties, but such analyses or aggregate data cannot be associated to any one customer by any third party. For instance, we might tell someone 20% of our customers live in Italy, but we would never provide their personal names or addresses.
This policy fully protects your personal information, which will never be disclosed by DesignVintage.com to anyone.
Third-party advertisements
DesignVintage.com accepts third-party advertisements in its website, in the form of banners, email campaigns, promotions, sponsorships, etc.
Protection of surveys or personal details
Protecting our customers is the first ingredient of our success.
For this reason, we invest in new technology and above all in our staff to combine active and passive protection, monitor faults all the time, consistently update our systems, and prevent threats.
The most sensitive information is kept in dedicated systems, which are specifically protected and isolated from any external influence, and are accessible to authorised staff only.
Customers’ access to personal details
Customers can view or change their personal details by entering their personal areas and following the on-screen directions.
Customers may also require that their accounts be totally deleted, but in this case their order logs or preferences (wish lists, etc) will be lost.
Details collected by logs and emails will not be directly accessible to our customers. They may not be deleted on request for technical and security reasons: DesignVintage.com must be able to provide the authorities with the users’ traces, if needed. Customers may however ask not to receive any offers or proposals, by selecting their preferences in Mio DesignVintage.com > Privacy.
